The Erasmus Mundus programme was established in 2004 by the European Commission through The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
The purpose of the programme is to provide a platform for exchange of knowledge over the boarders between higher education institutions in Europe and the rest of the world. The programme is divided into three different actions.
Action 1 - Joint Master/PHD programmes
Action 2 - Global mobility partnerships
Action 3 - Transnational projects with the purpose of promoting European Higher Education
Uppsala University is currently partner in three Action 1 Erasmus Mundus Joint Master courses and four Action 2 global mobility partnership projects.
